A salesman will be responsible for:

  • Stay updated on market conditions, material costs, and labor rates to adjust estimates accordingly.

  • Meet with clients to discuss project requirements, deliverables, and timelines.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to foster long-term business relationships.

  • Schedule and attend meetings with clients to discuss their needs and the products/services offered.

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of leads to ensure a steady flow of potential sales opportunities.

  • Keep up with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to effectively position offerings.

  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to showcase the product or service.

  • Organize product demonstrations to highlight key features and benefits.

  • Identify opportunities to position your product or service more effectively in the market.

  • Coordinate with delivery or implementation teams to ensure smooth product delivery or service implementation.

  • Manage and prioritize daily activities to maximize efficiency and productivity.

  • Prepare and process sales contracts, ensuring all terms are clear and agreed upon by both parties.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
